Campus Recreation will have options to explore, move, play and thrive this fall and will publish modified hours and programs. Curb-side drop off and pick up for the Bike Shop and the Outdoor Gear Rental Center will be available, and the Student Recreation Center and Sherrill Center will be open with designated directional signage throughout.
Find more information on the Campus Recreation website.
Dining Services will implement limited dine-in and carry-out service and implement social distancing practices in dining areas, making sure service and pick-up stations are spaced at least 6 feet apart. Pre-packaged and to-go options will be served in disposable and compostable containers with a focus on complete meals (pre-packaged or served) from a single station. Self-serve stations will not be available. Meal options will be expanded at the different dining venues to reduce capacity at any one venue.
For more information and schedules, visit the Dining website.
Ramsey Library will be reconfigured to create distance between furnishings. Lobby furniture and gathering areas will be limited, and directional signage will indicate one-way traffic patterns for each floor.
Remote services remain available and users are encouraged to limit visits to the library if services are available online. Staff will be available to digitize many materials, such as course reserves, when needed. In-person services such as library loans and check-outs will be low- or no-touch. Library patrons are encouraged to sanitize the stations they use before and after use. Sanitizing wipe stations and instructions will be provided.
Returned items will be placed in quarantine bins for an appropriate amount of time or sanitized before being made available to check out or use again.
Some areas, such as the Media Design Lab, Video Production, CrAFT Studios, and Special Collections and University Archives will be accessible by appointment only, limited to one person at a time. Equipment will be sanitized after use.

Shuttles and Transportation
The UNC Asheville shuttle services will be implementing a plan that promotes physical distancing. Additional safety measures include wearing masks, making masks and hand sanitizer available on board the shuttle, and increased frequency of shuttle cleaning throughout the day using a disinfecting fogger solution. Protective barriers will be installed between the drivers and passengers.
Routes and schedules will be updated over time based on ridership and other data. ART buses will operate on a regular schedule but with limited seating to allow for social distancing.
Face masks must be worn when riding on the University shuttles.
